A 64-year-old woman died after being shot at close range while walking in Barangay Western Bicutan on Friday morning.
According to Police Captain Dennis Desalisa of Taguig Police, the victim came from barangay hall for blotter because someone receives a threat to his life.
While returning home, he was shot in the head. He was taken to the hospital, but he could not be saved.
"He has received death threats. It is possible that this is related to loans, because he also lends money," according to Desalisa.
In CCTV footage, the victim can be seen walking with a woman when the gunman approached him and shot him. The suspect fled on a motorcycle, followed by his accomplice on another motorcycle.
In a follow-up operation, the police recovered the gunman's motorcycle. The two suspects have also been identified, and preparations are underway to file a case against them.
"We already know who the suspect is. The case is for filing, and we are still pursuing him," Desalisa added.
