Kim Soo-hyun, a popular actor in South Korea, has strongly denied allegations that he had a relationship with Kim Sae-ron while she was still a minor.
At a press conference, Kim emotionally revealed that their relationship only began after Kim Sae-ron became a legal adult. He also noted that the allegations were based on fake testimony and fabricated evidence, including altered screenshots of messages.
The controversy arose after the suspected suicide of Kim Sae-ron in February at the age of 24. The issue has affected Kim Soo-hyun's professional connections, including her partnerships with big brands like Prada.
In response, Kim's legal team filed a lawsuit against those who spread the allegations, seeking total damages of 12 billion won (approximately ₱470 million), for defamation and violation of information protection laws.
