Juan Paulo Mindo, or “Pau-Pau” to his friends, was a hardworking and kind child. When he was young, he dreamed of working in hotel management, but while studying in college, he worked as a call center agent to support himself. She enjoyed the work and was able to help her mother, Stella, who was a caregiver in Mongolia. Because of this, she decided to stop studying and focus on her job.
Paulo had a great opportunity when his mother's employer offered him a job as a waiter in Mongolia. He was happy about this opportunity because in addition to a better income, he would also be able to be with his mother. He was scheduled to fly to Mongolia in 2026, but this did not happen.
Paulo died on March 23, after his motorcycle collided with a fire truck in Mandaue City. The said fire truck was responding to a fire in Barangay Paknaan, so many are arguing about who is at fault for the accident. Because of this, his mother called on the public to be careful with their comments, along with her plan to file a case against the fire truck driver.
Paulo was known as a kind and loving son and brother. He was close to his family, especially his sister, and he never gave his parents a headache. When he got a job, he often shared the income with his mother. Stella respected him for his hard work and generosity.
