A 37-year-old farmer was arrested after he allegedly beat his neighbor in Sitio Tabok 3, Brgy. Adlaon, Cebu City on Monday, March 24 over a previous dispute.
The suspect was identified as Juan Arcayan Bordadora, while the victim was Adolfo Laurito Jr., 45-years-old.
According to the police report, a resident saw Bordadora arrive at the area around 11:40 p.m. He approached Laurito and suddenly hacked him with a sharp weapon.
Laurito tried to escape but fel off a cliff and crashed into a bamboo tree.
The suspect immediately fled to the mountain, while a barangay councilor reported to the police.
When the police arrived, they found Laurito lying down and bleeding under a bamboo tree. He was immediately taken to the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center for treatment.
