Using the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione chassis, the modern Disco Volante was first shown in 2012 and immediately received praise. Only less than ten units were built, each customized for the owner. This 2018 model has a hand-beaten aluminum body painted in Rosso, inspired by the original C52. It has period-correct Alfa Romeo badges, Quadrifoglio fender emblems, and matte carbon accents. The rear window has been replaced with a sleek black panel for a cleaner look.
Inside, there are black leather seats with red accents, and a brown leather-wrapped steering wheel inspired by classic wooden designs. Its donor 8C has 6,300 km, and has been extended by 5,200 km. It was first shown at the Concorso d’Eleganza Kyoto 2018, and also participated in the Japanese leg of the Gumball 3000 rally.
