A GoFundMe page has been set up to help Trident MCS, a well-known race bike business in Dudley, after it was destroyed in an electrical fire on March 14.
Trident MCS manufactures Rob North Trident and Rocket Three race bikes, but their shop was badly damaged by fire. Over £200,000 worth of bikes, tools and equipment were lost, leaving their future uncertain.
According to Les Whiston, 74, shop owner:
"Everything is destroyed—tube benders, CNC machines, manual lathes, grinders, even the electrical equipment. It's hard to replace it."
The business has no insurance because it expired while Les was recovering from a serious motorcycle accident in August.
To help, Huggys Speed Shop has created a fundraiser and is encouraging everyone to donate.
The fundraiser started on March 21 and quickly surpassed the initial target of £2000, now reaching £2555 from 55 donors.
Because of this, many locals have also offered help.
"There wasn't a single customer who was negative. They were all supportive," said Les.
