A SUV overturned on the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) in the northbound lane this early Friday. As a result, the 438">hand injury of the 48-year-old driver suffered amputation.
According to him, he was on his way home to Meycauayan, Bulacan when the SUV he was following suddenly stopped.
"The one in front of me suddenly braked. I didn't know if he was going to turn right, so I swerved but it was too late."
Due to the avoidance, he was too excited and braked hard, causing his car to overturn and severely damage it.
Fortunately, some riders helped him get out. The ambulance also arrived immediately to treat him.
"Just a little scratch, but I'm okay. The problem is, the SUV I was following is gone."
The authorities are continuing to investigate the incident.
