Two people died after their multicab collided with a military truck in Brgy. Poblacion, Laguindingan, Misamis Oriental on Sunday afternoon.
In CCTV footage, a military truck can be seen going straight despite the red light. At an unexpected moment, the multicab turned left, resulting in a collision.
According to Police Senior Master Sergeant Doni Alimahan, the force of the collision threw the occupants of the multicab. Two of them, a woman and brother and sister, were killed. Five others were injured in the incident.
Alimahan added that both drivers made mistakes — the multicab driver failed to look at the oncoming vehicle, while the driver of the military truck failed to notice the traffic light.
