Authorities on Wednesday in Grande Island, Subic Bay arrested 6 foreigners and 2 Filipinos on suspicion of espionage and kidnapping activities.
According to the Department of National Defense (DND), Chinese national Ye Tianwu was first arrested for violating the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012. Those arrested also include Xu Xining, Ye Xiaocan, Su Anlong, He Peng, Ang Deck/Dick (a Cambodian), and Filipinos Melvin Mañosa Aguillon, Jr. and Jeffrey Espiridion.
Several cellphones, laptops, a 9mm firearm, and 16 bullets were seized from them.
