Sen. Bato Dela Rosa has expressed his willingness to follow former President Rodrigo Duterte after he was arrested by the International Criminal Court (ICC) for crimes against humanity.
After news broke that Duterte would be brought to the Netherlands to face trial, Sen. Bong Go was immediately seen at Villamor Airbase where Duterte is being detained. He even delivered pizza for the former president.
Many have asked where Dela Rosa, one of the main implementers of Duterte's anti-drug campaign, is.
Dela Rosa finally spoke, saying:
"I'm willing to go with that old man if they'll let me take care of him."
Dela Rosa also compared Duterte's situation to the case of Apollo Quiboloy, whom the PNP allegedly searched for using a heartbeat detector underground in 2024.
According to Dela Rosa:
"If all legal means are exhausted and there is still no justice, I don't want my family to suffer from the police searching for them in a heartbeat."
‘Sh*t Happens’
<span style="font-weight: 400;"Dela Rosa became the first PNP chief under the Duterte administration to implement a bloody anti-drug campaign. It is estimated that between 6,000 and 30,000 people died in this campaign.<span style="font-weight: 400;"
One of the victims was a 3-year-old child from Rizal who was caught in a police operation in 2019 after his father allegedly "resisted."
When Dela Rosa was asked about the incident, this is his response:
"Sht happens."
Dela Rosa was named as one of the suspects in the case filed at the ICC by former senator Antonio Trillanes.
