A fire broke out in a residential area in Barangay 602, Sta. Mesa, Manila on Wednesday. Due to the rapid spread of the fire, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) raised the third alarm to request additional assistance from nearby fire stations.
Firefighters made a strenuous effort to extinguish the fire. The narrow alleys and close-knit houses in the area posed a challenge, so it took longer to extinguish the fire. Despite this, they were able to declare the fire under control at around 12:20 p.m.
Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire as well as the total damage. Residents are advised to be vigilant and ensure that their household belongings are always safe to avoid similar incidents.
