Four individuals were arrested after being caught allegedly pimping more than 100 women at a club in Makati.
Authorities said they raided the club after receiving a report that it was being used as a front for the illegal sex trade. During the operation, several women were rescued who were allegedly being forced to offer sexual services in exchange for money.
Several victims confirmed that they were forced to meet with customers in exchange for payment. They added that some of them were lured to the club through deception, while others had no other choice due to the hardships of life.
The suspects have been taken into police custody while the investigation continues. They could face charges related to human trafficking and pimping.
Meanwhile, authorities assured that assistance and protection will be provided to the rescued victims to ensure their safety and recovery from the incident.
