
South Korean singer Choi Wheesung was found dead in his home in Seoul at the age of 43. According to Yonhap, he passed away on March 10, but the cause of his death has not yet been determined.
According to police, there were no signs of foul play and it appears the incident had been going on for some time before he was found. At around 6:29 p.m., authorities arrived after the singer's mother called, who also discovered him.
His agency, Tajoy Entertainment, also confirmed the news. "He was found unconscious at his home in Seoul and was declared dead," they said in a statement. They also asked for the public's respect not to spread unconfirmed news out of respect for the late singer's family.
Wheesung rose to fame in 2002 with his debut album Like A Movie and became famous with the songs Insomnia, With Me, Even Thought of Marriage,and Heartsore Story.In the past, he has been accused of using propofol but has clarified that it was for his treatment.
Wheesung was scheduled to have a joint concert with KCM in Daegu on March 15 before his passing.
