Nine Indonesians who used to work at POGO hubs in the Philippines surrendered to the government on Friday for expedited repatriation.
According to Gilbert Cruz, executive director of PAOCC, 7 men and 2 women went to their facility in Pasay City to seek help.
The foreigners admitted that they worked in POGO operations related to online betting and scams. They did not experience any physical abuse, but they said they were not paid in full if they did not meet their employer's quota.
Tinawag ito ni Cruz na isang labor trafficking case, kung saan sinamantala ang kahirapan ng mga manggagawa.
The PAOCC has requested the Bureau of Immigration to expedite their return to Indonesia.
