The Land Transportation Office (LTO) summoned the owner of a passenger jeepney and dump truck that had an accident in Antipolo this weekend.
The incident happened on Sumulong Highway and injured nine people.
According to LTO chief Vigor Mendoza II, the owner of the jeepney and Howo dump truck (with license plates TXF222 and NEJ4224), as well as the drivers, must appear in their office.
"We want to know the cause of the accident, especially why the jeepney crossed the line," said Mendoza.
The video of the incident went viral on social media where the jeepney can be seen swerving to the other lane and hitting the truck. Due to the force of the impact, the truck lost control and collided with an electric tricycle.
The LTO has issued a show-cause order for the vehicle owners, and they are expected to comply with the order.
Mendoza also said that the investigation is in accordance with the order of Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon to make the roads safer for everyone.
