Logitech has been making computer peripherals for over 40 years, including the world's first wireless mouse launched in 1984.
One of its newest products is the MX Creative Console – a highly customizable productivity tool with a keypad and dialpad that can be programmed according to users' preferences to suit their individual needs. The new device is intended for creatives working in different disciplines and applications, such as photographers, video editors, graphic designers, and many others.
According to Anatoliy Polyanker of Logitech, it is "designed to help people transform their workflow, allowing them to work smarter and faster," and he added that the brand "is tapping into key trends of the proliferation of digital creation, 3D design and spatial computing, and AI-enabled workflows."
Logitech has also worked with Adobe to ensure that the brand's suite of creative applications, including Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom Classic, Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Illustrator, are natively supported. Other apps are supported, from Spotify, Apple Music, and Ableton Live, to Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and more.
The MX Creative Console's keypad has 11 face buttons, nine of which can be programmed to specific functions within apps. These buttons display the selected tool using both an icon and text, a combination that helps to quickly engage users. The icons and text used change automatically when a button's functionality is changed for a different tool, so manual action from the user is no longer required. The remaining two buttons on the face of the keypad are simple left and right arrows, which can be used to switch between up to 15 pages of settings, or 135 different actions. The keypad is easy to setup by simply dragging-and-dropping the tools or actions the user wants through the included Logi Options+ app.
Meanwhile, the dialpad has four buttons, including the “fluid roller” and “contextual dial.” The four buttons are for back, forward, left, and right actions, while the roller can be used for navigation or zooming in and out, like scrolling with a traditional mouse.
The Logitech MX Creative Console is now available in two colors, Pale Gray and Graphite, priced at £199.99 GBP / $199.99 USD.
