A motorcycle rider was run over by a passenger bus after he flipped in the eastbound lane of Commonwealth Avenue, Quezon City around 10 p.m. this Monday, April 28.
According to the 44-year-old bus driver, the rider was following him before the accident occurred. "While I was running on Commonwealth, opposite Central, the motorcycle suddenly swerved in front of me. Even though I braked, I couldn't avoid it, so the person was run over and his leg was run over," the driver said.
In the video, the victim can be seen still under the bus. He was immediately taken to the hospital, according to police. The driver, on the other hand, defended himself, saying he was not at fault because the motorcycle overturned on its own.
The driver is currently in the custody of the Quezon City Police District Traffic Sector 5 while the investigation into the incident continues.
