Joshua Tamayo of Team MxMessiah won an Amateur 85cc class at the 2025 Wiseco 2-Stroke World Motocross Championship held at Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino, California. Tamayo is from Taytay, Rizal, and witness his success on the 2023 85cc 2-stroke GASGAS MX bike.
In the first moto of the 85cc B Class, Tamayo got off to a fast start and got to the front and led every lap to take first place. In the second moto, from a P3 start, Tamayo worked his way into the lead, and earned a perfect 1-1 for first place overall.
In his statement, Tamayo said, "I thank the Lord Jesus Christ for my salvation. I still can't believe I won." He added, "Last week in the 3rd round of the Glen Spring Series, I felt like I had a fight. I didn't expect that I would be able to win."
Joshua Tamayo is 2024 Orca NAMSSA National Motocross Championship 85cc Class Champion and FIM Asia Round 4 85cc winner.
