Filming of ‘Knock Off’, the Disney+ series starring Kim Soo Hyun, has been halted due to the actor's worsening issues. On April 23, industry insiders confirmed that the cast and crew had been informed of the indefinite suspension of the shoot.
This began after accusations regarding Kim Soo Hyun's alleged relationship with Kim Sae Ron when she was a minor. The issue also included Kim Soo Hyun's alleged pressure on Kim Sae Ron to pay off her debt using the actor's family agency resources. Kim Soo Hyun vehemently denied this and even held an emotional press conference to assert his innocence.
Although the 18-episode script of ‘Knock Off’ is reportedly finished, and shooting is almost complete, the production team has decided to stop everything for now. Many of the actors and crew who were on standby have also moved on to other projects.
The show has not been completely cancelled yet. Industry insiders say that the fate of ‘Knock Off’ depends on the outcome of the lawsuit against the YouTube channel Garo Sero Institute, where the allegations originated. Kim Soo Hyun is currently filing a 12 billion KRW lawsuit against those involved.
