John Cena made history at WrestleMania 41 when he defeated Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship. This was his 17th world title, breaking Ric Flair's record of 16 titles. The match took place on Sunday night, and it was an intense main event.
After 30 minutes of fighting, Cena was assisted by Travis Scott to pin Rhodes. Cena won and became the most title holder in WWE history. He first appeared against Rhodes at Elimination Chamber, alongside The Rock, his former rival.
According to Cena, he will retire this year. He said, “There’s no real wrestling retirement. Everyone comes back. But me, I’m done. I’m not scared.” He called other wrestlers who don’t want to admit they’re done “scared, insecure losers.”
On SmackDown, Cena told Rhodes, “This is my last WrestleMania match. There’s nothing you can do to prepare for this.” He ended the speech by shouting, “Winners do. You people don’t write history.”
