The entire showbiz world is saddened by the passing of Nora Aunor, known as Ate Guy, who died on Wednesday night, around 10:00 p.m. according to her son Ian de Leon. He passed away after a medical procedure, and according to the doctor, the cause of his death was acute respiratory failure.
As a National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts, a necrological service is scheduled at the Metropolitan Theater at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, followed by a state funeral. He was previously given a military salute by a soldier from the AFP on Thursday.
In an interview, Ian shared Ate Guy's last message before he passed away:
"Son, please kiss my grandchildren for me. Tell them I love them very much."
His children Lotlot, Matet, Kiko, and Kenneth were with him when he passed away in the hospital.
The weight of grief is double for Janine Gutierrez, who passed away just four days after the passing of her grandmother Pilita Corrales (April 12) and now Lola Nora (April 16). Despite the intense grief, Jericho Rosales has been able to support her.
