
Superstar Nora Aunor passed away on Wednesday at the age of 71. Her son Ian De Leon confirmed this in a Facebook post. According to him, Nora was “the heart of our family” and gave unparalleled love, strength, and goodness to all who knew her. He added that they will release more details about his mother’s passing on Thursday.
In another post, Ian gave an emotional message: “We love you Ma... rest in peace Ma... you are just here in our hearts and minds.” Nora's son Matet De Leon also paid tribute on Instagram where he shared photos of them from their wedding. His caption was simple but full of emotion: “I love you mommy.”
Nora Aunor was awarded the National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts in 2022. He rose to fame in the films “Himala,” “Bona,” and “Minsa’y Isang Gamu-gamo.” Among his recent projects are the films “Mananambal” with Bianca Umali and “Pieta” with Alfred Vargas. She also appeared in the GMA series “Lilet Matias: Attorney-at-Law.” Throughout her life, she left a huge mark in the world of film and television.
