The Bureau of Immigration (BI) has deployed 40 additional immigration officers and acting officers at the NAIA to better accommodate the expected number of passengers this Holy Week.
According to BI Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado, personnel sent to the airport to help this long weekend came from various offices in Metro Manila.
In line with this directive, all entry-level and acting immigration officers are required to be on duty at the airport in rotation.
Viado also said that the additional staff at NAIA is in response to the President's call to improve government services, especially in busy areas like airports.
