Nag-deploy ng 1,000 pulis ang Central Luzon police para sa Holy Week.
According to Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo, Central Luzon police director, this was done to ensure the safety of the public during Holy Week, especially during the days of April 13 to 20.
“Every Holy Week, there are more trips to terminals and devotees flock to churches and pilgrimage sites, especially on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday,” Fajardo said.
He added that he ordered the maximum deployment of police officers and the activation of support units throughout the region to guard the people and communities.
This is done every year in preparation for a possible influx of people into public places.
