The Immigration and CIDG-NCR raided a building in Makati that was found to be being used in a love scam. According to a report by John Consulta in 24 Oras, an operation has begun to rescue a Chinese who was allegedly assaulted by a POGO boss.
When the agents climbed to the 10th floor, people suddenly ran towards the fire exit. The video shows the chaos as the foreigners (mostly Chinese) ran. Several agents were injured in the chase.
At the 5th floor parking lot, several were arrested before they could get into the vehicle. On the 8th floor, more Chinese who were hiding in empty offices were caught, including a woman who is said to be the boss of the POGO love scam.
Authorities are still investigating whether the arrested individuals have other illegal activities. The Chinese victim's complaint is that the POGO boss beat him up, so he asked for help.
