A 44-year-old Russian woman, Anastasia Bulgakova, went missing on March 9. She was last seen on CCTV walking alone on Serov Street, around 1AM.
After several days of searching, only the head was found—very badly damaged and with bite marks of a large animal. According to residents, there have been bear and wolf sightings in the area.
Police also suspect that the woman may have been killed first before being carried away by the animal. Currently, DNA tests are being conducted to 100% confirm that Bulgakova is indeed the victim.
The search operation is still ongoing at the area where the head was found. It is also being investigated where the animals took the rest of the body.
