"I thought we were friends, but maybe I was fooled."
This was the response of President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. when asked about Vice President Sara Duterte's statement that they are not friends. According to Marcos, he was a bit disappointed by Duterte's statement.
"I don't know anymore. I'm not sure if I understand anymore. I'm a little disappointed that he doesn't think we're friends," Marcos said. Duterte's statement was in response to questions about their relationship, even though he was Marcos' running mate in the 2022 Elections.
Duterte, despite stating that they are not friends, said that he has a close relationship with the President's sister, Senator Imee Marcos.
