
Three men were arrested in Pasay City after being caught gambling while police were patrolling Barangay 201, early on April 9, 2025. According to Police Major Geo Colibao, a concerned citizen reported the illegal activity, prompting Villamor Sub-station 9 to immediately respond.
In the actual arrest, the three were caught red-handed playing cara y cruz. During a body search, a .38 caliber handgun with ammunition was recovered from the 22-year-old man, while two other suspects, both 40 years old, were caught with two sachets of suspected shabu weighing 0.28 grams.
The police also recovered three pesos used in gambling and 500 pesos in betting. According to the investigation, the two older suspects have previous drug cases. They also admitted to using shabu, while the 22-year-old refused to give a statement.
The suspects are currently detained at the Kalayaan Outpost in Barangay 201. They are now facing several cases such as Illegal Possession of Firearms, Illegal Gambling, and violation of the Dangerous Drugs Act.
The police remind us that especially now that the elections are approaching, their operations against crime and illegal activities are continuing. They warn those who want to do bad things: "We are just around here."
