A woman was shocked after she found a dead lizard in her bowl of pan mee noodles while eating at an eatery in Tawau, Sabah. According to her post shared by a local Facebook page, she was with her family when she noticed the lizard's head floating in the soup.
She was so shocked that she screamed, dropped her chopsticks and spoon, and ran to the toilet to pee. When she returned, she immediately told the restaurant staff about what she had seen in the food.
But instead of apologizing, the staff said that the lizard might have just fallen into the bowl while she was eating. But the woman said that was impossible because it was obvious from the appearance of the lizard's body that it had been soaked in hot soup.
He looked for a manager to complain but the staff said, the boss was in the hospital. He didn't want to make a scene so he approached the cashier to fix the problem, but to his surprise he was even given a bill.
She asked if she seriously had to pay even though there was a dead lizard in the food, and the cashier replied, "It's up to you, if you want to pay, that's okay. If you don't want to, that's okay too." Because of this, the woman said she would complain to the Health Ministry, and the staff replied, "Go ahead." She also shared that she had reported the incident to the authorities.
