BTS’ J-Hope, known for his fashion sense, previewed the new Air Jordan 3 “Seoul 2.0” at the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors NBA game last night. While watching the match, which was led by LeBron James and Steph Curry, J-Hope showed off the new sneakers, giving sneakerheads a clearer idea of what to expect from the release.
The Air Jordan 3 “Seoul 2.0” comes in a White/Sport Royal/Challenge Red/Black colorway, and its upper appears to have an off-white finish rather than white. The left shoe features the South Korean flag at the tip of the tongue, a favorite detail from the original model. The shoe is set to release on May 15, and is available at Nike SNKRS and select retailers for $200 USD.
This shoe is a modern update of the Air Jordan 3 Seoul, an iconic colorway that first released seven years ago to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea. The original shoe has become a collector's item and is now worth thousands on the secondhand market. In 2020, it was also released in a limited version for women.
The “Seoul 2.0” version features new details like a yellowed white sole unit, and its outsole is colored gray. The elephant print mudguard and heel counter have been replaced with two shades of gray, and the Nike Air heel branding returns to black. Its collar, which features a combination of red and blue, has a revised texture.
As of now, Jordan Brand has not officially announced the complete release details, but according to updates, the Air Jordan 3 “Seoul 2.0” will definitely be released on Nike SNKRS and select stores for $200 USD on May 15. Stay tuned for more images and details of this sneaker.
