A man died while his friend was injured after they were shaken by seven children during a rambulan in Barangay Maysilo, Malabon City this early Friday. According to CCTV, five friends can be seen entering the suspects' compound, but within moments, they were thrown with bottles and forced to beat and hit with pipes.
While the four survived, Cristan Dizon Sevilla, 22, was left behind and caught up with, who was pinned against the gate and was allegedly beaten by the suspects. According to PCapt. Roger Perez of the Malabon Police, Sevilla's head was fractured and he also had stabbing wounds to his body.
The investigation revealed that the conflict started with a joke between the two groups. They were allegedly arranged in the barangay a few hours before the incident. However, according to the victim's brother, they were only led to believe that the other side would settle the matter, but they were ambushed upon entering the compound.
Because of the noise, the victim's brother immediately went there and found Cristan's bloody body. According to the family, they will continue to file a murder case against those involved. “He's the one who brings joy to the house… it's so painful,” said the brother.
