
Former Miss Tourism Myanmar 2018 Silimee was among those killed in the 7.7-magnitude earthquake that struck Myanmar on March 28, 2025. According to reports, her body was found under the collapsed parts of the Sky Villa condominium in Mandalay, Myanmar. The building had twelve floors and was destroyed by the powerful earthquake, causing many lives lost and property damaged.
The Miss Tourism Myanmar organization confirmed the passing of Silimee, who represented Myanmar at Miss Tourism World in 2018. Her passing has caused sadness among fans and family, especially after receiving news that her body was found on April 2, 2025, a week after the earthquake.
Meanwhile, the search continues for the OFW couple, Edsil Jess Adalid and Alexis Gale. They also live in the Sky Villa and the rescue teams have not yet determined their whereabouts, although their personal belongings have been found. According to reports, the death toll has reached 3,085, and 341 are still missing.
The family of Edsil and Alexis is in great distress, but they continue to hope. According to Edsil's brother, Dehm Howard Adalid, they still believe that a miracle will happen and they will see their loved ones again. Hermosila Adalid, Edsil's mother, also posted a message on Facebook, praying for their safety: "Lord, give us a miracle. We pray that they are still alive."
Despite the severe trials, the family of Edsil and Alexis has not lost their faith. They continue to pray for their safety and the successful search for them by rescue teams.
