Vlogger Ronie Suan, better known as Boy Tapang, was arrested after he allegedly hurt his live-in partner at their home in Brgy. Daanlungsod, Alcoy, Cebu The incident happened on Monday, March 31, 2025, around 5:00 p.m.
According to Alcoy Police, Suan is 25 years old and his partner is 21 years old. The woman went to the precinct to seek help around 11:27 p.m., and she said Suan beaten her.
The police responded immediately and arrested Suan at 12:28 a.m. the next day, April 1. Before the assault, they reportedly had a fight because the woman was caught vaping, something that angered Suan and led to physical violence.
The woman further said that this was not the first time that Suan had hit her. They often fought and the reason was, jealousy. According to Police Captain Jerry Magsayo, it seems that this situation has been recurring in their relationship.
Suan voluntarily joined the police and did not resist. He has been charged under RA 9262 or Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act. He was granted temporary release after posting bail of ₱3,000.
