The heartwarming story of Puti, a aspin who was once a stray dog but now seems to be an official staff member at a hardware store in Montalban, Rizal. Puti went viral on social media because he was wearing an ID, the same as the store's employees. This is proof that even dogs can be part of the family at work!
As seen in the video taken by Bayan Patroller Jackielyn Valencia, one of the employees, Puti is socializing and relaxing during break time with his "co-workers." He said that Puti is very kind and does not bite even when customers approach him.
He used to be just a dirty stray dog who was always outside the hardware store, according to employee Edgardo Bosito. It was 2023 when they first fed Puti. Since then, he has always been waiting for them and following them in and out. Puti has also become very attached to the people there.
Because of Puti's consistency in coming, the admin staff thought of giving him his own ID in November 2024. According to supervisor Anylyn Millapre, this was not an official employee ID but was used to identify Puti as the official hardware dog.
Now, Puti has his own bed, food and water bowl outside the shop. He is bathed regularly and vaccinated so customers have nothing to worry about. For employees, Puti has become a source of good vibes, and he has become a part of their daily work life.
