Sony Pictures has released a new trailer for Karate Kid: Legends, the next film in the popular Karate Kid franchise. Returning to the main characters are Ralph Macchio as Daniel LaRusso and Jackie Chan as Mr. Han. The film mixes the original 1984 film, the Cobra Kai series, and the 2010 reboot starring Jaden Smith.
In the new film, we will meet Ben Wang as Li Fong, the new Karate Kid. The story begins three years after the events of the last season of Cobra Kai. Li is a kung fu prodigy from Beijing who experiences family tragedy and is forced to move to New York City with his mother. He had a hard time adjusting to his new life and struggled with daily life at the new school.
He will meet a new friend and help him join a karate competition. With the help of Mr. Han, he will also be helped by Daniel LaRusso. They will combine their styles with fighting techniques to prepare for a brutal fight. In the trailer, Daniel is seen telling Li, “Remember what you’re fighting for. When you understand that, you will be ready.”
The new trailer will give a clearer view of the scenes and action that the film brings. The film will be released on May 30, 2025, so mark your calendars for another action-packed story.
