A group of friends have posted photos from their "Mt. Kamuning" climb on social media. Albert Labrador shared the photos on Facebook, where the group can be seen posing at the "summit" of the 30-foot-high footbridge in Kamuning, near the GMA Network Center in Quezon City.

The group hiked wearing complete hiking gear and even brought a Philippine flag.
In 2019, they first climbed "Mt. Kamuning" with friends Greg Aglipay and Bong Manayon.

“Mt. Kamuning was still very new at the time and we thought it would make a good April Fools’ post, so we climbed it with mountaineering gear. It showed how tall and steep the structure was, and people were already calling it Mt. Kamuning before we climbed it in 2019,” Albert said.

Six years later, they did the climb again and invited more people.
“We agreed to do it again at Greg’s suggestion, and Greg invited Gregg Yan. I invited my friends from UP Mountaineers,” Albert added. “In 2019, some people thought it was a political statement. But we did it because it was so funny. It’s like they said about Mt. Everest: ‘Because he’s there.’”

Like their original climb, the 2025 version is an April Fools' gag.
“There's so much silliness going on in the world today. comedy always helps,” said Albert. “If we can make people happy or laugh with a post on FB, we're fine.”
