A police officer killed his colleague after an argument over drying laundry in Sipocot, Camarines Sur, Tuesday morning.
Pat died. Rodel Abelido, 31, while he was being rushed to the hospital, according to Brig. Gen. Andre Dizon, Bicol police director.
According to the report, the shooting occurred at the Special Action Force camp in Barangay Tara at around 7:30 in the morning.
Reports said that Pat. Jhonel Idos, 31, stopped Abelido from drying his laundry in the bathroom. This caused Abelido to get annoyed and punch Idos, who became angry and pulled out a gun and shot the victim.
Idos is currently in restrictive custody while the investigation continues.
Meanwhile, in Ilocos Norte, the chief of the Pasuquin police, Maj. Jonevale Maramag, and three of his colleagues were removed from their positions for allegedly assaulting a civilian.
According to Col. Frederick Obar, Ilocos Norte police director, the replacement of officers was to prevent the outcome of the investigation into the incident that occurred at the police station last weekend from being influenced. There is video footage showing police officers slapping and scolding a civilian who asked for their help.
