WASHINGTON – A babysitter in Kansas, USA, was shocked when the child referred to as the “monster” under the bed was actually a real person.
According to the Barton County Sheriff’s Office, when the babysitter put the child to bed on Monday night (March 24), the child said there was a “monster” under the bed. The babysitter tried to pretend there was nothing to be afraid of, but instead, she found a man hiding there.
The 27-year-old man, who reportedly used to live in the house but had a restraining order, immediately fled. In the escape, a child was run over while the babysitter and the man were arguing.
The next day, police arrested Martin Villalobos Jr. near the same location. He faces charges of kidnapping, burglary, battery, and child endangerment. He is being held at the Barton County Jail and bail is set at $500,000.
