A 50-year-old police lieutenant was seriously injured after he was shot by his live-in partner patrolwoman in the midst of their fight in Barangay Sinawal, General Santos City on Monday night.
The General Santos City Police Office confirmed that Police Lt. Joseph Miasan Denaga, a member of the Police Regional Office-12, sustained serious gunshot wounds.
Meanwhile, his wife, Patrolwoman Kamille Kaye Daliva Asuncion, voluntarily surrendered to authorities after she was shot several times. She is now facing a frustrated homicide charge.
According to neighbors, they heard the two arguing about Denaga's alleged bullying of Asuncion and other police officers. Moments later, gunshots rang out.
According to investigators and barangay officials, the couple got into an intense fight before Asuncion pulled out his service pistol and shot Denaga multiple times.
