
San Ildefonso, Bulacan – One of the male victims of the ambush in Brgy. Capihan, San Rafael, Bulacan last Friday is now holed up in his house.
The family identified the victim as Bryan Villaflor, 33 years old, staff of Bulacan 3rd District Representative Lorna Silverio and her daughter Vic Silverio, who will run for congressman in the upcoming election.
Villaflor's family declined to comment, but several local officials have already visited his grave.
In an interview with Rep. Lorna Silverio, she confirmed that Villaflor was their consultant and extended her condolences to his family. They also appealed to the PNP to immediately investigate and find the perpetrators of the shooting.
Motive of Crime, Not Yet Known
According to Rep. Silverio, Villaflor is a good son and the breadwinner of his family. He also mentioned that he noticed suspicious people around their house before the incident.
Based on initial police investigations, Villaflor was riding in a black SUV with his pregnant girlfriend and a security personnel when they were chased and shot by another black SUV.
Villaflor and his security personnel, who according to the PNP was a Corporal from the AFP, were killed instantly in the incident.
He even tried to take his girlfriend to the hospital, but she also later died.
According to Rep. Silverio, Villaflor was only supposed to go out last Friday to buy a wheelchair for his father.
25 Bullets, 7 Wounded
SOCO recovered more than 25 empty shells from the crime scene. Aside from the three dead, there were seven more wounded, including the motorcycle rider, jeepney passenger, and a motorist.
One of the injured was a 16-year-old female passenger of the jeepney who was hit in the head. She is currently being treated at the hospital.
The camp of Rep. Silverio has already provided financial assistance to those affected by the incident.
The PNP's manhunt operation continues to identify and capture those responsible for the ambush.
