After 19 years, Frank Ferrer has finally left as drummer of Guns N’ Roses.
On their social media, the hard rock band announced his departure and praised his contribution to the group.
"The band thanks Frank for his friendship, talent, and steadfast presence for nearly two decades. We wish him success in his next musical journey," according to their official statement.
Ferrer first joined the band in June 2006 to replace Bryan "Brain" Mantia. Since then, he has been a solid part of the rhythm section, especially on the band's major tours.
This includes the popular Not in This Lifetime... reunion tour from 2016 to 2019, which reunited Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan. He last played with the band on November 5, 2023, in Mexico.
Guns N’ Roses was formed in 1985 after the merger of the bands L.A. Guns and Hollywood Rose. The current lineup includes founding members Axl Rose, Duff McKagan, and Slash, as well as Dizzy Reed, Melissa Reese, and Richard Fortus.
