A 31-year-old farmer died after being hit in the head by his 83-year-old neighbor in Barangay Villa Espina, Lopez, Quezon on Tuesday morning.
The victim was identified as Ronnel Llamado Sipocot, while the suspect was an old man known as "Gregorio".
According to the report, around 8:30 AM, the victim was busy preparing polishing leaves that he was going to sell when the suspect suddenly approached him from behind and without saying a word, slashed him on the back of the head with a 20-inch hatchet.
Because of this, the victim's head was almost severed and he died instantly on the spot.
The Lopez Municipal Police Station immediately arrested the suspect, and recovered the gun used.
According to the statement of the old suspect, he was annoyed by the victim's actions, so in extreme anger, he cut her head.
