Disney and Pixar have officially announced Coco 2, which will hit theaters in 2029! The story will return to the Land of the Dead, but no details about the plot have been revealed yet.
During a recent shareholder meeting, Disney CEO Bob Iger confirmed that the sequel is currently in early development. According to him, "Although the film is still in its early stages, it is sure to be full of fun, emotion, and adventure. We are excited to share more details soon."

The film grossed over $800 million USD worldwide. In recent years, Pixar has continued to produce hit movies, such as Inside Out 2 (2024) which grossed $1.66 billion USD and Incredibles 2 (2018) which grossed $1.24 billion USD.
