One man was killed and another was injured after a shooting due to a traffic fight on Tandang Sora Avenue, Barangay Old Balara, Quezon City, last Thursday night.
The 42-year-old driver of the pickup truck was killed, while his 51-year-old passenger is in critical condition.
According to the injured victim's son, they were on their way home from Antipolo to Marilao, Bulacan, when they were hit by a closed van. There was a heated argument between the two drivers.
The van driver got out and immediately punched the pickup driver. He was carrying a gun and opened fire indiscriminately.
The victim was dead on arrival at the hospital.
The suspect, who is a police officer, immediately surrendered to Quezon City Police District Station 6.
SOCO found seven spent bullet shells in the area.
The victim's relatives are demanding justice.
"He should be in jail. He's a policeman but he just killed an animal," said one of the passengers.
