Director Jeff Baena sent a text message to his ex-wife Aubrey Plaza three hours before she was found dead in her Los Angeles home in January.
According to a report by E! News, Plaza said they last spoke on the phone the night before the incident.
Plaza and Baena quietly separated in September 2024, after their wedding in 2021 and 10 years of relationship.
According to Plaza, Baena made disturbing statements a month after their separation, so she asked a friend to conduct a welfare check on him.
Baena was found by his dog walker, who entered the house after hearing loud music, which he said was "not normal."
