The Marilao Interchange Bridge will take 2-3 weeks to repair after it was hit by an over height truck on Wednesday morning, according to Robin Ignacio, head of NLEX and SCTEX traffic operations.
The truck, which was 4.9 meters high, exceeded the limit of 4.27 meters, causing damage to 2 girders of the bridge. A female passenger was thrown through the truck's windshield and fell onto the road.
Two northbound lanes were closed, causing heavy traffic.
The truck driver will be charged with reckless imprudence resulting in damage to property.
