The Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO) has issued a statement saying that they have nothing to do with the ‘Bring Home FPRRD’ event organized by supporters of former President Rodrigo Duterte in Taiwan.
According to MECO, they have no participation or connection with the said gathering to be held at Dagangqian Park in Taipei on March 30. They also advised the public to beware of false information that could affect the good relations between the Philippines and Taiwan.
Duterte is currently being held at the International Criminal Court (ICC) on charges related to his administration's anti-drug campaign, which has resulted in thousands of deaths.
