A motorcycle parked in the middle of the road in Antipolo City became the talk of the town online after it was shared by the Facebook page "Parkeserye" on Saturday, March 15. The caption of the post said "Nothing is forbidden in Antipolo, haha." In the photo, it can be seen that the motorcycle has taken up an entire lane of the road that should have been for passing vehicles. Next to it, there is a sedan and two motorcycles parked in a more convenient spot.
The post garnered over 9,100 likes, 806 shares, and 309 comments, with many netizens reacting. Many were annoyed by the driver's actions, calling him "arrogant" and "indifferent." Some also mentioned that clamping operations were being conducted in the area to punish illegal parking.
According to the Land Transportation Office (LTO), it is prohibited to park or drive on sidewalks, roads, or alleys that are not specifically designated for vehicles. In addition, it is also prohibited to obstruct the flow of traffic while loading or unloading passengers or cargo.
Authorities continue to remind motorists to obey traffic laws to avoid such incidents that could cause inconvenience and accidents on the road.
