"Justice for White" — This is the cry of supporters after the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) filed a case against a man who was caught killing a cat in Pasig City on March 18
In the CCTV footage, the suspect can be seen hitting the cat, Puti with a metal object, causing it to convulse before it died.
Puti's owner, Celine learned of the incident after seeing it on security footage when she noticed Puti missing.
PAWS assisted Celine in filing a case with the Office of the City Prosecutor, emphasizing that animal cruelty is a crime.
“His children searched for him for a long time,” said Celine, referring to Puti's three kittens that were left behind.
PAWS encourages the public to immediatelyreport any animal cruelty to police or their volunteer lawyers.
“Animal cruelty is a crime. If you see something like this, call the police immediately and yell at the perpetrator to stop,” according to PAWS.
