A public school teacher was stabbed 37 times by his ex-wife inside the faculty room in Las Piñas on Monday.
According to police, the victim, identified as Rose, 51, died at Alabang Medical Hospital due to severe injuries.
The suspect, identified as Dennis, 38, an employee of the public coordinator services from Bacoor, Cavite, was immediately arrested at the scene of the crime.
The incident occurred around 8:45 a.m. in the faculty room of Lydia Aguilar National High School in Barangay Almanza Dos.
Based on the investigation, Dennis went straight to the faculty room and repeatedly stabbed Rose with a 12-inch knife.
Many teachers witnessed the incident but did not intervene out of fear.
Las Piñas police responded and immediately arrested the suspect. They also recovered the knife used in the crime.
The couple had been together since 2011 and separated in 2024 after 13 years of marriage, allegedly due to the suspect's jealousy.
Dennis is currently in the custody of the Las Piñas police and is facing parricide charges at the city prosecutor's office.
